BRIAN GATTAS TAKES THE STAGE!

Brian Gattas will be joining Tom Lenk on-stage at the LA Storytelling Festival, Wednesday Oct 15th, to improvise letters back and forth based on your suggestions.

A native of Albuquerque NM Brian, better known as just “GATTAS”, first got his SAG card on Melrose Place. His shoe made the final cut. Currently he has appeared in over 25 Feature Films, some of which include, Trust Me, The Bling Ring, Lovelace and Somewhere. He is also well recognized for his TV work which has included The Office, Community, Dexter and Brothers & Sisters.  He plays “Alex” on the award winning TV show Arrested Development. Look for him in the upcoming TV shows Aquarius & Looking. He also produces and performs in the ever-popular show “Celebrity”  at IO West (Improv Olympic)

Wednesday October 15th – some of the best letters will be at the festival along with the musical brilliance of The Singer and The Songwriter!

Tom Lenk (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cabin in the Woods) returns, this time as the guest improviser!

PATRICK BRISTOW WIZARD IMPROVISER!

Patrick Bristow (Ellen, The Groundlings, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Henson Company) has joined the line-up of letters Saturday October 4th and with help from the audience, will improvise a letter!

Saturday October 4th 8:00 pm at The Lyric Hyperion Theater and Cafe in Silverlake, a fresh batch of letters and music! Arlene Schindler’s Love letter, Grant Baciocco’s letter from a child to his hero, Robin Robert’s letter from Anne Sexton’s past and a letter of compassion that guided Jessi Trauth out of her darkest hour. Madeline Tasquin is the bewitching musician for the evening.

JOHN PIRRUCCELLO IMPROVISING A LETTER!

John Pirruccello

John Pirruccello consummate actor, improviser, stand-up comedian and voice-over artist will improvise a letter at the September 6th letter show and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We are especially enamored by Mr. Pirruccello’s  performance as Nick Stavros, LAPD Sergeant, in the Phil Spector biopic written and directed by David Mamet and starring Helen Mirren and Al Pacino.

LETTERS AND MUSIC TONIGHT!

Saturday August 2nd the letter show boasts a stand-out line-up of letters (real and improvised) and soulful music!

Mindy Sterling and Kevin Berntson will improvise a series of letters based on your suggestions! Christine Blackburn has letters she wrote when she was 9 years old to her older sister and Deana Barone has some words of advice for an ex-lover. Greg Veneklasen returns with the Archie Letters, correspondence from the early 1900’s that give us a glimpse into history and To Whom It May Concern Producer will read a letter to The Discovery Channel about an acting job gone awry! Mike Bauer will play a few songs and then accompany the evening and we can’t wait to hear that! The Lyric-Hyperion Theater and Cafe has a big old deck for sipping wine and cooling off and boasts a tasty menu of salads and sandwiches, craft beer and gourmet sodas. It’s your beginning, middle and end Saturday night plans wrapped up into one!

Mindy Sterling Improvises a Letter!

Mindy Sterling is a hilarious and versatile actress and improviser known for her role as Frau Farbissina in the “Austen Powers”  Movies, Mitzi Kinsky in “Desperate Housewives” and more recently as Janice on “Legit”.  She is bringing some of that hilarity to the show Saturday August 2nd where she will improvise a letter based on your suggestions!
